It's a photo "essay"
What is the subject for your photo essay and where did you take your photographs? (1)
The subjects I chose to portray were centered around plant life so flowers and trees for the most part
Why did you select this place? Why is it significant or important to you? (1)
I chose it because it was interesting and you get to see so many cool shapes and how life grows
What concept are you trying to portray about this topic? (1)
The concept that I am attempting to portray is life and nature in its different forms and how everything/everyone grows differently
Visually, how did your images capture the narrative or “story” of your essay? (1)
They show growth how some of the plants are dead or are blooming or some are at their peak of growth
Discuss: the order and arrangement of your photos and how you visually unified the series of photos? (2)
It's in a kind of cycle because it starts with the tree with no buds are anything moving through blooming flowers and eventually returning to the tree with no growth
Which photo is the strongest in the series?
I personally am a fan of photo 8 with how you see so much and I think the arial view just adds something special to it and certainly one of the most aesthetically pleasing (the best picture is really the one all the way at the bottom)
Describe the composition (2) (viewpoint, angle, lighting, etc) and technical aspects / editing (2) of one of the photos.
most of the photos were taken from above and give an arial view of the flowers while 2-3 of them were taken from below. However giving a sort of different feeling to them they all had a fairly sunny view when I was taking pictures of them. The angle was mainly the same for all of them while to edit all of them I used the camera raw filter. For them I used clarity made them either feel warmer or colder to make them feel brighter in their own right. I also used contrast, vibrance and saturation to make everything pop more.
